Fun Facts About the Band:

• The band has more than 90 members, one-third of whom participate in the PAC (Performing Arts Center) Program.
• All band members participate in the fall Marching Band program, in addition to their standard band curriculum.
• Damonte Ranch High School PAC is the only performing arts signature academy in the Washoe County School District.
• DRHS Marching Band is consistently top ranked in Northern Nevada, having won overall the past 7 years.
• It costs as much as $100,000 to run the band program each year, the majority of which is incurred during our Marching season (August – November).
• The band program receives less than 1% funding from the school district.
• The remaining funds come from student fees (Fair Share) and community support.
• Community support is CRITICAL to ensure that all students can participate in all band activities, regardless of financial situation.
